Saturday February 6th

The comic:

I don't like concerts - too many people, too much noise.

I just don't get this.

Pluggers are grandparents. Got that.

But Pluggers have children that spend money on music lessons? That doesn't sound very Pluggerish to me!

Also, why just grandchild? Do the parents not care? Or count? Or is it cuter because it involves "old people"?

Seriously - eff that nonsense. I know many grandparents that are only ~20 years older than their kids, and/or have kids that married and procreated around 20. So you can be a grandparent without being "old" or even retirement age in the US (65, right?). Of course, age is a state of mind for the most part - some people are old at 10, and some are young at 100. It's about attitude.

But Pluggers are fussy and as soon as they have a grandkid, they're old. Or possibly as soon as a gray hair pops up.

My mom could be a grandmother - I wouldn't be a teen mother. Or if she'd been like other people in her area, she could have a kid that would be 30 this year. Or even a few years older.

Old people are not cute, they are not funny*, they are not jokes. Ha ha, you're old!

*By default. Some "old" people are hilarious because they are hilarious PEOPLE, not because of their age.

Pluggers is terrible - more old attitudes about age and life recycled again and again and of course he gets paid for it, it's the fucking status quo and preserving that is key.

Tuesday October 27th

The comic:

Most cars have change holders, you know.

This is better than I expected - I thought it would be about purses, because stereotypes are funny in Pluggerville.

But now I'm just.

Huh.

So.

Monday October 12th

The comic:

Where's the supposed funny?

And Pluggers are terrible people, no imagination. OR it didn't come out of the blue, she'd been obsessing over it for a long time, getting more and more bitter and crazy that all she sees are the chores he will never do.

One of them will end up dead, but who'll have to do the cleaning? She will.

Friday September 18th

The comic:

This joke is older than me and more boring than a Pluggers anthology.

Daniel Day-Lewis is hot!

See one bad thing, one good thing.

Thursday February 12th

The comic:

You're a plugger if you think that's funny.

Friday February 6th

The comic:

You're a plugger if you don't realize that they're about to be torn down for a new Wal-Mart. And then you can add their names to their list while enjoying low, low prices!

Saturday January 17th

The comic:

Is cast a word for some other word, god I'm dumb today. All I could think was "don't barf, don't barf" and then in my speech class we had to an ice-breaking exercise and I couldn't remember anything about the 2 people I was supposed to remember anything about. But other people? Oh, totally! Like this one guy is GOING TO THE FUCKING INAUGURATION.

And then in the next class, I was the only one who knew the three ethnic groups in Iraq. My stomach had settled down by then.

Pluggers have time to fish, but I wonder if they're purist douches who act like people with boats that don't leak are sellouts. Ok, I have no idea what the fishing world is like, I just know that fishing is quite boring, at least to me. I can't cast the damn things and hook your own damn worms, I'm going on a walk.

Thursday the 24th

The comic:

I don't know what to say to this.

I have had to hose off my shoes before because I stepped something worse than mud, but my dad - who would consider himself a blue-collar Plugger - shined his a lot, or so I remember. (He was in the military, then became a cop.)

So Pluggers don't wear fancy shoes.

And non-Pluggers do.

Right.

Tuesday the 25th

Merry Christmas and whatnot, on New Year's Eve.

Mine was good, and yours? My mom and sis loved their presents. Most were a gamble, since Mom only wanted one thing and Becks never told me what she wanted. I never told my dad, and he got me gift cards for both the book and music stores near my school instead of winging it. (One year, Beck asked for certain shoes and got a cow's head from him.)

Oh? The comic:

Still no sign of the countdown. That's good, I guess.

Very topical for them.

Whatever, no snark.

All Pluggers are Christians, but not members of the denominations that don't celebrate Christmas. Big shock.

Friday the 21st

The comic:

How was a top ten chosen?

There was no online poll.

They weren't chosen by the people, the creators.

That's wronger than their many other wrongs.

Thursday the 20th

The comic:

I thought the website was broken just now.

This just sucks - and I thought you withheld information - so it would have the little Plugger hiding the sprouts instead of the mom withholding ice cream until he ate his sprouts.

Whatever.

Malcolm in the Middle is on.

Sunday the 7th

The Cubs are out.

Certain people were distraught.

But the Sox'll win today, so hey, I can handle these Pluggers.

Okay, so I can't.

I don't know much about trees - I don't know if it would be that big after just 3 generations...

As for ancient, yeah, if it's that big and he's still alive...

And dogs don't live that long - a grandfather would be 3, maybe 2, he's not the one who's actually pregnant.

Now the drawing...

That kid is five feet in the air! He had to be placed in the tire!

That's not right.

Though little is right about their world.
