Wednesday February 17th

The comic:

Ha ha, their names are like body parts, it's so funny! Don't you agree?

And damn they are lucky. Tricare sucks beyond all suckitude, but I have to suck it up because I have insurance. For the time being. God, I hate this country sometimes. If you're on vacation and get sick, depending on your insurer, you are SOL.

But because they're businesses, well it's okay not to insure me (even though, hypothetically, I have money) because I'd cost them money.

Yeah, I'm getting pretty damn socialist in my college years. Get over it, and start your own conservative blog mocking Pluggers.

Of course, part of it is total selfishness - not "I got mine Jack, screw you" but "I won't have mine, help me! and hey, help other people too."

Also, those calls are frustrating. Playing phone tag with nurses (never doctors!) is so much fun! The calls will say, "You have an appointment at this time, just a reminder!" or "Call us back." And by the time you do, they're gone. Or your doc is out of town for a week, well excuse the hell out of me for getting sick at a bad time for you, Dr Stupid. If you have a note on my file that only you can treat me, then you better be here!

Where was I?

Oh yeah, shut up Pluggers.

I may have sympathy if they're hounding you about bills, but that's just conjecture.

Of course, this could be bragging - "I'm friends with doctors/my kids are doctors/are married to doctors!"

Take your pick and leave me to fume and plot my escape.

Wednesday December 9th

The comic:

People without children or grandchildren - people who are too young for grandchildren - have chronic health problems. You FAIL, pluggers.

Plus, who keeps them on the fridge? We write the dates down in at least 2 calendars (a wall calendar and a "weekly planner" type) and keep the appointment cards in the car.

And how dare they mention my sister's birthday? Eek, I hope I don't have an appointment on her birthday. That's only happened once.

Monday October 27th

The comic:

That's depressing.

Like mondo depressing.

Do these people not have a kitchen counter? (Where I used to keep my mini pharmacy)

Or a closet? (Where it is when I'm at home) A cupboard? A drawer?

My dad is the only guy I can think of that has medicine at the dinner table - in a little shot glass so he can take his meds with his meal.

Who has centerpieces anymore? Maybe on big meal days, but they take up valuable real estate that would be better occupied by food.

I don't know what this is about - Pluggers are old. I stayed up til midnight for this? (Actually, I stayed up til midnight because I slept all day. But still.)

Wednesday September 24th

The comic:

I'm a bit less stressed out than I was Monday night. Taking that test helped so much. What I get on it? Yeah, it matters, but I'm not stressed. I can't do anything now that the test is done!

And now I actually feel sympathetic towards today's Plugger. Because she's going to die soon.

Seriously. I'll use some lotions past their expiration date, but pills?

Then again, they must be PRN meds, things you take when you need them, not daily, because those are replenished on a regular basis. Hmm.

It's still incredibly stupid, not to mention dangerous.

But they're Pluggers, what do I care?
