You have to admit the Plugger world is very liberal about inter-species marriages. Maybe the poor ticket clerk just wants a Labradoodle like the one Mom married.
Even assuming the chicken-dog-type pairings are second marriages, there's not a lot of potential for grandkids in Pluggerdom.
